time frame for green card to arrive

Hi everyone I had my interview on Feb 7th at bogota and I was approved. Now im back in medellin waiting for my passport to arrive my question is: how long does it take to received the green card by the mail? does it starts counting after I go thur immigration or from the date of the interview? I will fly in to miami anyone had the experience at that airport? .

Hi!! I just POE today at Fort lauderdale it was a smooth experience, however I asked one of the agent for the time frame for green card to arrive and he said a few months so I ask how many and he said 3-5 months, im freaking out because my husband is station in germany (he is army active duty) and army said that I need to send them by mail my actual green card and passport in order for them to change his orders to be an accompied tour!! I cant stay at my mother's in law house for ''a few months'' does any one had experience a long wait for the GC to arrive?

Most receive it within a month to 6 weeks, 3-5 months is on the very extreme. Watch for your welcome letter which will have a receipt number that you can use to follow production of your card via the USCIS. Good luck!
