Does anyone know how long the CSC takes to process an I485 (marriage based) after it has been transfered from the MBC?

This information does not appear to be available on the USCIS website or am I not looking in the right place.

Also keep in mind, the adjudicator at CSC can also decide an interview is needed, and send it back to NBC to then get scheduled for an interview at your field office.

USCIS website did say 4 months estimate (mine took 3.5 months after being transfered in November) but this has now changed to 28 July 2010 - I have no idea what that means. You can see processing times here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

We sent the I-485 in November (2010) and Doan just received her GC in the mail on 2/4/2011 - it was about 2.5 months from initial mailing to receipt. We reveived notice that it was transfered to CSC on 12/31/2010.

Funny thing - yesterday 12/7 - she received her welcome letter syaing the GC will arrive in about 3 weeks. I guess that letter got stuck in the mail somewhere since she received the GC before it!

6/15/2009 Filed I-129F

12/15/2009 Interview (HCMC, VN)

1/16/2010 POE Detroit

3/31/2010 MARRIED !!!

The AOS processing times they show for CSC are only for employment-based AOS applications - technically the CSC doesn't do marriage-based AOS adjudications, it seems to just be luck of the draw whether or not you get transferred over there, so there isn't any USCIS based information on processing times.

The lead time for a marriage-based AOS application is 4 months, so you've got a couple more months to wait before you can start kicking up a fuss and expect to get a result. We're in it for the long haul my friend, but EADs and APs should show up before that - and at least with the EAD you have recourse if you reach 90 days and still have not received it.

i had the same question yesterday, so i went through the AOS timelines yesterday to answer my own question, using the following filters. visa adjusting from "K1" and only showing transferred cases (ie, no interview).

(I looked at the first 70 records only).

so it looks like once transfer takes place, the vast majority of people are approved within 1-2 months.

however, it looks like there was a period of time (june and july 2010 transfers that took usually 4-6 months to get approved). that doesn't apply for people who got transferred from about october/november 2010 onwards.

since yesterday, i did a little more reading on VJ. seems like some people are getting RFE's from CSC and some of the CSC transfers are going back to the local offices.

so bottom line it seems that if you are lucky, you get AOS approved soon after CSC transfer these days. if not, it looks like anything could happen.

i don't think that really helped clarify anything. oh well :(
