Interview day in Colombia

I would like to know if the embassy in Colombia has to wait to receive the IV package from NVC before giving us an interview date or if it's done before they get the package. NVC has not closed our case yet, it will be 3 weeks tomorrow, hopefully it'll be this week. I just want to know around what month I should be expecting to go to Colombia.

The NVC will schedule your interview with the embassy in Bogotá after they complete your case. Once they schedule it, they will forward your case to the embassy. You and your spouse will be receiving a letter from them with all the specifications. Based on what other VJ members have told us, the date of the interview is about 2 months after your case has been completed. So for example, if the NVC completes your case today, your interview will be around April 1st or earlier.

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview
