in the process of I-485

you are in the process of I-485 (submit on Jan. 21) and your k-1 visa will be expiring in one month (fed. 24). should i have extension on K-1 visa or it is ok for me wait for the approval of I-485?

Now that you are in the US your K-1 visa is already used. The expiration on it and any other dates affiliated with it are null and void. Now that your I-485 is pending, you are in a NEW period of authorized stay, and you must stay here to wait out the decision. You can only travel abroad if you get Advance Parole approved, or get your GC approved. Otherwise you will abandon your GC application. Good luck.

Your visa expired the moment you entered the U.S. The only condition you needed to meet was to get married within 90 days of arriving in the U.S.

The document that now determines your status is your I-94, which is set for 90 days (the time you need to get married)

Once you file your I-485 (along with your I-765 and I-131), your legal status will be extended until the decision on your I-485 application is released.
