And you of course, are now offering to have gun owners pay the cost for all medically related expenses caused by guns?

Guns are constitutional. Random studies are not.

I know leftists hate the word "constitution" but perhaps they should LOOK IT UP!

It is harder to harm yourself or others using a copy of the constitution. I am not responsible for your complete inability to understand my point.

And I am not paying for gun related medical issues? Of course I am, we all are. This is one right which comes with exceptionally high costs both financially and in terms of human suffering.

I don't see anything wrong with requiring "gun insurance" for guns that are in use.

Buy as many guns as you like, as long as they are all insured (if you use them;

if they are locked up in a safe somewhere, who cares).

A politically motivated lobby group isn't to be trusted, generally, least of all when they cry foul about the alleged political motivations of others

You're also not responsible for my safety.

Do you see anything wrong with requiring a fee to practice religion? How about mandating a tax or license on certain books?

Gun rights are rights. It's not a privilege. You don't license, tax, or require insurance on a right. If you don't agree with that, ask yourself what other rights it'd be acceptable to add insurance to.

That would be great.

We already have that - it's called "sales tax".

Should guns be free then? After all, if you can't afford a gun, your rights are being violated.

Guns should be exempt from sales tax. Guns should be provided by the government at taxpayer expense for those who cannot afford them. Owning a firearm IS an individual right. Medical care, for example, is NOT.

That they are not and that they are taxed by sales tax, does not make it consitutional to do so, it just has not been ruled unconstitutional...yet.

I do not care if you have a problem with insurance or not. It doesn't matter. The government cannot make the excerise of a right contingent on buying insurance. Don't be silly. The suggestion is ludicrous.

I know, I thought I'd try in case someone wanted to run with it. :P
