those foreigners think they understand Vietnamese women more than Vietnamese people

THOSE foreigners?????? I will let you in on a little secret, listen and read closely. THOSE foreigners we DO know OUR wives, and maybe JUST MAYBE we treat our loved ones a bit better than some of THOSE VIET KIEU that keep trying to say they know our women better than we do. Instead of trying to say pay for the honey, and that this person thinks he knows Vietnamese women more than Vietnamese people do, maybe both should start to think and realize that your wives/fiancee's/servants/scammers/what ever you consider them are infact people. People like to be loved, even the scammers, they need love as well. The sad thing is that with all the hate it is hard to see through. Put the shoe on the other foot if you were in a different country all alone and had a husband that told you to do this or do that, you must, and you better, you might get offensive and hateful. So when you do valentines day this year, think about them, give them a massage, some flowers, something from YOUR heart, because this is all someone really wants is something from the heart. It could be some ugly paper machete thing, with third grader writing on it, but if it came from the heart they will love it, that is unless you have hardened their hearts with all of your anger and hatred. HAHAHAHAHA

Day Que is funny. Does anyone knows how old he is? Is he a one year old or a two year old?

My four year old nephew is more mature AND see can reality better than him.

Racism is a bad thing...growing up (early 80's) in a rough neighborhood, I have experienced it first hand! Both from the white and black people.

Before you show your racist comments, you should think about other people feelings first! Any color can be a racist!

Thanks Jeromebinh, Y Y Y you have to bring VK in da house.:whistle::whistle:

Read the post carefully, I specifically meant the VK or actually any man/woman that treats their loved one without any respect. I know that you and Dai, and Frank, Linda, and many many others actually do treat their women with respect. Jerome

It is a good idea to send chocolate to Vietnam using USPS?

I have sent chocolate and different candies twice to my honey by way of USPS. However, on both occasions I paid the extra bucks to get it to her in 5 days or less. She is addicted to Hershey Kisses now !!! Ha Ha Ha Ha !! I sent the chocolates along with papers and other little gifts to fill the box. I would recommend putting the chocolates in a zip-lock baggie if you plan to send anything else in the box. This will ensure that the other items in the box will not fall victim to the chocolate should the packaging break open and or be subjected to a long wait in the warm VN weather. I though it was worth the extra money for the express mail because this gave me the option of insuring the package and tracking it both here and after it got over there. If you decide to use the EMS (express mail service), you can use this site to track your package once it arrives in VN. www.ems.com.vn/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=0&tabid=177&lanid=EN . The USPS site will take forever to update once the package has left the country.

This thread turned ugly quick! I also feel a little sense of racial tension.

hahah I read the topic and thought that it's going to be all the nice and sweet things that we can do for our S.O but I guess it's real sour in here.

Let's get back to the topic:

I was so happy that my wife got approved that I forgot what to do for Valentine's Day. I thought if she passes her interview, she would be here by then. She can't pick up her visa until the 22nd of Feb so now I gotta think about a present. What I did all the other years was to order something online and people in Vietnam deliver to her door steps. It was fun and she loves it. From flower to chocolate, anything comes unexpected will brighten her face no matter what. Until she asks me how much was it. ahhahahah You pay for the service like in America but to my wife that's wayyyyy too expensive. Oh well, after 3 times doing that, my wife told me to save the money and wait until she comes over. hahahah But still, I gotta get her something. As time drawing near, I think the best bet is to order online.

That's what I'm going to do for my S.O for Valentine's Day.

For anyone still looking and adventurous. A friend in Vietnam gave me a Vietnamese florist site. The site is in Vietnamese but with Google Chrome translating it and some copy & paste into the Google translator, I was able to get something for like $40some USD that was $100-$350 on other sites. They take payment by credit card via a service that seems like the Vietnamese version of PayPal. It is www.tanghoa.com Now, I just ordered from there for the first time, so I can't really vouch for the service. There is another site (where it was $100) that I have used before that is in English, based in CA I believe, that I can give anyone who wants to PM me... their service is excellent. But, I always search for something cheaper. :-) She's worth more, but then I can send more & more often if I get a deal. :-)

I'm only 23 and my wife is 30 years older than me. And YES, we got the pink slip on the first try. I tell you, that Saigon C/O was a moron. How could he miss such an obvious fraud case?

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!
