Hello all

Before I continue a big thanks to all the amazing members on this board who helped me with my answers to questions and of course everyone's support.

So I have been away a while the reason for that is b\c my wife finally got her late in 2010. So I am trying to figure something out and I need a little help from the VJ community again. My wife and I were married in November of 2009, so we have been married for less then two years. Her green card is set to expire in 2012.

I know we have to file her I-751 but I am not clear on something. My question is do I file it 90 days before the green card expires in 2012 OR do I file it before our 2 year wedding anniversary which is in Nov 2011?

Also on a related note IF we are supposed to file the I-751 in 2012 (before her green card expires) can my wife travel back to her home country for a few months?

Thanks in advance to all

90 days before green card expires.

re: travelling - be back in USA before green card expires.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

You file it 90 days before her conditional green card expires. Good luck on your journey.

Thanks for the info guys and clearing up the confusion.

So I guess the only thing that being married for less then two years matters is when immigration decides if they are going to issue a CR1 or an IR and as far as a re-entry visa for a CR1 person is not necessary if their green card is valid.

Thanks guys
