I cannot seem to get a straight answer from the help line. If my fiance goes to Juarez for her interview how long is the VISA good for to enter the U.S.? The problem is she is trying to get custody of her daughter and our opened interview is anytime before this June, she thinks she will have the custody case wrapped up by then, but maybe not until August or September.

I thought they told me that it (the VISA) is good for one entry for 6 months, but now they say it could be valid for 1 day or 1 week, and that it is up to the officer. The idea was to get it in May, and return for her daughters while it is valid and have her added to it.

6 months or the validity of her medical exam (which is usually 6 months) so don't to the medical until the week before her interview.

That is the correct answer, 6 months, or if something like passport or medical expiration is sooner then the visa is shortened to match.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.
