Hello everybody,

I am new here and I am asking for and appreciate your guidance/help. I am American and I recently got married to a womderful woman who is Thai. We are looking at a CR1 Visa and we are starting the process and need some help, so in advance I thank you for your time and consideration. I have found that this page has a lot of knowledge and I am asking for any information and/or links to the process. Also, could you please tell me about any pitfalls that I need to look out for?

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)
