USPS Money Order Cashed?

8 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

Pardon me if this has been answered a million times before, but I couldn't find anything when I searched. Is there a way to find out if your USPS money order has been cashed without paying money and filling out one of those trace forms at the Post Office?

Thanks!

As far as i know the answer is "NO"; if you noticed at the back of the usps money order receipt it says if it is stolen or something after 60 days you can file a form , etc.. Just wanted to know how long did you send the package/money order?

Oh I'm not worried it's gone missing. The USCIS only received my package yesterday. I was just wondering how I would know when the check was cashed. Stupid me forgot to use a personal check. I've been out of the immigration loop for like 4 years now.

A shame the USCIS won't take credit cards, state if finally doing that for other things, but charges a buck fee. Stepdaughter got a money order for something that I severely cautioned her about, bank wouldn't give her money back until she filled out a form and waited two weeks. Always sent a personal check to the USCIS, that way I have a canceled check in my pocket to prove we sent in the application.

Fair is fair, USCIS doesn't trust us, and we don't trust them either.
