I sent my I-129F Petition for Fiance packet on Nov 29 2010. I have not received anything from the mail until today. I called USCIS today. They told me my packet was rejected due to incorect amount fee and is gonna be sent back to me and he said I should just reveive my packet back few days from now. I had a USPS money order of $350 instead of $340 as the payment included in the packet.

The officer told me that it is was rejected on Dec 28 2010.

Im leaving to deploy to Afganistan few days from now, and I have not received my packet back yet.

My questions is:

Do I just resend my packet back with the correct amount of fee and not add or update anything? Or do I have to update(evidences and proof of ongoing relationship) it since its more than a month since i originally send it to them.

thanks!

Send back with correct fee is all.

You may notice the paperwork had been shuffled a bit since you sent it, simply leave it as is and send back to them with correct fee.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Also, when you finally have a USCIS case number call the USCIS military helpline to expedite your case. You can do that because you will be deployed. I called and expedited our petition when I was in kuwait.

alrighty! cool! I'll just resend it. I think military personel has to be deployed for atleast 1 year for that petition to be expedited. i'm only be going out for 6 months.

ill still call them anyways.

Thank you very much!

That is not true. I was only deployed for 4 months and got it expedited no problems. If you were doing a spouse visa, you could expedite through the NVC too. I did...i was already back from my deployment and they approved my expedite request.

you just need orders saying your being deployed

If you are just doing it in the USCIS, then you may not even need that. Just the call to the military helpline from the deployed location. They just asked me the zip code of the deployed location...never questioned it at the USCIS level. The NVC wants proof though.

thanks for the info! I'll be leaving tomorow.

I'll call USCIS military help line from my deployment location.

Did you get your file back yet? Is someone going to mail it off for you (assuming you haven't)? You're good to go once you send the right fee in. Happy filing!
