Hi guys,

Im ben and i had a previous profile (benashley) which i could access for some reason, so i have started a new one (sorryyyy). Im the benificary and we have been putting together the package for the past few weeks and have finally filed yesterday when i came to TX to visit Ashley.

Basically i am just dropping in and welcoming myself to the wait, i know it will be long but we are in no rush as it allows us to work hard and save plenty of cash in prep for the move!! I guess we are kind of hoping ill be in TX by Oct so i can get settled for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but if its longer then its just more money saved :) (I guess im trying to stay positive haha)

How do you know where it will be sent already?!

I only posted mine yesterday and i just tracked it with USPS and it is still in the sorting office which sucks so hasnt even reached the Dallas Lockbox yet :(

It's based on where you live.

Texas just forwards it on to the service center that covers your area. Either Vermont or California.

Hi Ben, positive thinking and patience are the two ingredients that will get u through this oh and more patience. Its a hard going process.

U can judge where ur peititionwill be adjuticated from where the petitioner lives? Which state do they live in?

woohoo!! welcome to the crazy house! It feels good that you're hoping for October! Our wedding date is Oct 1st, 2011 and we're dec filers. We know we may have to move it, but hoping we don't with it being 10 months out. Only time will tell. Stay positive. You'll see people go pretty ape ###### after waiting for a while. Laugh at it and keep moving. It will come <3

I too admire your positive attitude Ben. I'm a fellow Brit, I have been lurking on this site for months and finally decided to sign up.

We sent our K1 application on December 27th, we received an email from USCIS on January 3rd to confirm acceptance of our application. It's now being transfered to Vermont and we are waiting for the written confirmation they sent out at the same time as the email.

I have been staying with my fiance in South Carolina since October, I am due to return to England on Monday. I keep telling myself too, that if it takes longer it gives us more time to save and work hard but I still wish I didn't have to leave at all.

Maybe we can keep an eye on how our Visa applcation progress as we are both from the UK and filing at roughly the same time.

It's definitely nice to see others who are going through the same process from the UK.

Seems to be a little cluster of us right around the start of the year.
