We filed our I129F in late July (NOA1 date of July 23rd) so we have been waiting more than 5 months now. I called the customer service line to inquire about it today. The lady was nice and actually pretty helpful. She said that the Vermont service center was currently running 13 days behind schedule and today is processing applications which were submitted on July 10th. (I didn't ask whether the 13 days meant business days and didn't do the math until I hung up but it looks like it must. According to calendar days they would be behind about 25 days and when you subtract some days for the holidays I can see how they would count 13 business days.)

Other July filers like us should call and inquire as well and report back what you are told.

Is anyone who filed in early July able to report that you recently received approval?

Thanks!

They have been telling people who call, "we are processing applications submitted on July 10th" for the last month now. As you can see from Igors list on this site http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?cfl , this is a total lie. They have been working petitions with NOA1 dates all through July. Just seems to be another one of their scripted responses to people calling.

I hope you get your NOA2 soon

They BSed you. What Ameribrit said above me is true. Just yesterday someone with a NOA1 of July 22 (i think) was approved from Vermont. I would pull up igors list, call them back, ask to be bumped up to an immigration officer and if they give you the "July 10" BS, throw the list in their face, but do it nicely, such as "Well if you are on July 10, why did several of my friends with NOA1 dates XXXXX,XXXX,XXXXX and XXXX get their NOA2s?"

Like everyone else said they have been saying that to everyone who calls. I know someone who filed in July and received a NOA2 in under 30 days. Moral of story is that you never know. All we can do is wait!

They told me July 10th when I called on December 21st (5 months to the day after my NOA1). I got back from vacation and the NOA2 was in my mailbox and it was dated December 17th, 4 days before my call! We didn't get a text or email and our USCIS profile still hasn't been updated to show we've been approved. Be patient and it'll arrive soon :)

The first level telephone boys and girls there are about as useful as a cigarette machine in a lung cancer ward. They are clueless as to what is going on and are given scripts to read to you. So don't believe anything they tell you.

Igor's list is the best source. Of course, it is a list only of VJ member approvals, but it is a reasonable extrapolation out to the full visa world. And it can be used as a potent weapon when USCIS tries to BS you.

You need to fill in your VJ Timeline data on your profile. Without that filled in, you will not appear on Igors list, which can be found under the 'Immigration Timelines' tab on this site.
