They're applying for K2...not IR2. So the $404 does not apply to them (btw, the $404 already includes the $88 affidavit of support fee).

my3rmylife, if you already filed the I-129F and the child(ren) is/are listed on the form, the petition fee is $340 (if I understand your situation correctly, you already paid for this).

At the Embassy stage, the visa fee is $350. The medical fee depends on the fees imposed by the medical clinic at the country of origin. If there is a visa delivery fee, it is paid of each child included in the petition. Ricardo4Eva is correct about the police clearance, the child(ren) need to provide one if they are 16 or older. You can only petition the child if they are below 18 by the time you and their parent get married.

Later, when the child(ren) arrive(s) in the US, they will need to apply for adjustment of status, same as their parent. Fees depend on how old the child(ren) is/are and if s/he/they will be applying at the same time as their parent.

If their parent already filed for adjustment of status and is approved, then the children must undergo a different visa application process.

Hmmmm 3 months ago I paid 88.00 to the nvc and 2 fees of 404.00.... So they over charged me is what you're saying since the fee is built in?

Oh, my bad. The $404 includes the visa fee and the security fee. The $88 is only for the affidavit of support. So if you are paying for 1 spouse and 1 child, you pay $404 for each of them, and only pay the $88 one-time.

Still, since the OP is applying for K2, these fees do not apply to him...unless the OP's spouse already has an approved I-485 Adjustment of Status, then another process and set of fees would apply.
