I've filed my AOS on the 3rd of Nov, and did receive the receipts .... I called USCIS to expedite the process for my AP but unfortunately they denied it .... Now, I've two option in front of me

1) Contact local congressman

2) Infopass Appointment

Contact Local Congressman:

I've one problem in contacting local congressman which is I live in Alexandria but the address I've given to USCIS is of Baltimore, MD ..... The reason for that is that my roommate is very uncooperative and for the past 6 months she has never given me the key for the mailbox although she gives me my mail .... But obviously, I can not believe her for my USCIS mail ..... So, the mail comes at my brother's address in Baltimore which is way more safe ....

Now, my question is 1) how to contact the congressman ? (2) Which congressman should I contact Alexandria where I live or Baltimore which is in USCIS's record ?? (3) If anyone has any experience of contacting congressman office if you can explain your experience with them ....

Infopass Appointment

Have any one tried it? What is the procedure and how effective it is ?? Secondly, I want to go on medical grounds as my dad lost his eye sight for the right eye in a cataract surgery and he has to go through another cataract surgery for his left eye .... He's 67 and a diabetic patient .... Is it a strong reason to get an AP ??

Please do let me know which way is more effective and how quickly can I get an AP ?? Thanks so much ......

Find your congressmans web site by using Google. They all have a form you must print & mail in with your basic info before they will do anything. They have a staff member trained to placate you. The reality is they can do almost zero unless you have an unusual situation.

You should do what many of us have & attempt to get some help from them. Its the only way you will feel you did everything you could.

Make an Info Pass appt by finding the link on the USCIS web site. Doing that is far better than spending a month or more hoping a politician will put down the golf clubs to respond.

I'd say make an InfoPass first, have you tried calling the help line already?

I am more concerned about your address differences, especially because when you go to the interview they will ask where you live, I suppose, what will you do then? Which address will you say? I know it's a complicated situation. Very sorry about your father and I hope you find a way to expedite the AP.

My AOS is being processed in Alexandria and as you can see in my time line, things took a little bit of time, especially getting NOAs and such. If you just did your biometrics I'd think that in about 2 weeks they should be letting you know of an interview date. *fingers crossed*
