My wife came to US last year, after waiting for 16 months of AP, we filed for I-485, Adjustment of Status, green card, now we are waiting for more than 9 months, still pending for her name to be cleared again while every one else is getting it in 5 months. Do you know if any one else is at the same boat as we are? do we have to wait another 16 months this time? please share your inputs and thank you for your concern.

Call USCIS and do have them file a service request. You probably won't get much of an answer other than it is still under review but we need to go through the appropriate steps. Next, or at the same time, contact your senator and have them do a follow-up on your case. I'm guessing she has her EAD and Advance Parole?

They are supposed to complete any background checks within 6 months  It took my hubby about nine months from filing to green card and that was after 17 months of AP so just hang in there.

We did a service request and answer was that our case is pending for back ground check to be cleared, also our senator got the same answer, however she did get her EAD and Advance Parole. We also can not make an info pass since our local office, at Fairfax Virgina is not giving any appointments.
