Hi everyone,

I was wondering if the list of Civil Surgeons on the USCIS website is a SUGGESTION or the list of the ONLY CSs who are certified to fill in vaccination records in I-693? Anyone used other doctors without further RFEs? All input is appreciated alot, thanks.

They are far and few between large metropolises like Chicago. . .and be sure to inquire the fees too. . . we found one about an hours drive and their fees began at 459 and went up to over 600. The best price was the outskirts of Chicago who were willing to fill in info that I already had evidence for. even there the quote was 150 but we pain 210

also .. . not one office was run by NATIVE-BORN USA or white. Most regular non certified Drs do not know what a licensed Dr is.

the fees are the reason I asked this question. I am a K-1 holder, and I only need the vaccination part filled in, and the lowest price the listed CSs charge for simply rewriting dates of my shots into a form is $98. Oh well... a hundred bucks for a 2-minute job...

Thanks for answering!

Call around. There is no set 'fee' so the Civil Surgeons are allowed to charge whatever they want. Many will try to tell you that you need to do the full medical as well, which, if you entered as a K-1 and your current medical is less than a year old, you do not - you only need the vaccination section done. You may find that there is one available in another city which is cheaper than where you are and the cost of getting there may still be cheaper than the one locally. Anything less than $100 is usual, with around $50 to $60 being common. - the trouble is finding them. Good luck.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
