what is CDJ?

Ciudad Juarez - the consulate where they process K visas in Mexico. No appointment is necessary for a fiance visa interview once the consulate has confirmed receipt of the file from NVC.

Appointments for Tourist Visas are in Mexico City.

If she has a tourist visa already she can come to the US for 6 months while the process continues (that's the maximum time she would get the I-94 for). That's kind of what I'm doing now.

I'm planning to spend some time here and some time back home while this whole mess clears out.

If she doesn't already have a tourist visa (and if I'm reading this correctly, she doesn't) then this would not be the fastest or easiest solution since you don't even know if she'll get one and the wait time for an appointment is so long.

Why not raise some hell with your congressman and/or senators to get the expedite pushed through? Seems like the best course of action considering your circumstances.

Honestly Kitkat1, I have called and called my congressman and they said that they have tried to get it expedited.

The USCIS has chosen NOT to to expedite.

And has CSC responded with a written explanation for why they will not expedite? (Are you 100%sure your congressman actually faxed a written expedite request - did you receive a copy of it and of the denial?) Does your congressman agree that this is clearly USCIS error and that you are indeed eligible for an expedite?

Maybe your congressman is simply worthless (I know mine is) and now you need to start talking to senators until you get someone who can help you. I'm sure you're exhausted and sick of this - I know I am - but I wouldn't stop pushing for help wherever you can get it. Considering the circumstances of your case and their ####-up, I can't understand why someone cannot help you.

She can certainly try it - she needs to take enough documentation with her to prove ties to her country and her intent to return. Keep in mind that the immigration officer at the POE can turn her away. It's risky when you consider the cost to fly and not knowing if she'll make it. But legally she is allowed to come, just not guaranteed that they will let her in. (That's the case with all tourist visa - they don't guarantee admission to the US, only the right to try).

284 lovely heartbreaking days :crying: Well I guess I destine to make this a record. But I still won't be close to the guy the waited 404 days. My case is seating in the ICE investigation office in Nebraska. (this much I got from my congressman's office) Not to see the light of day. I am missing Nadya more everyday. Damn them for making us wait. All this time not being with the one you love. I just do not have the money because I've been on active duty. Now that I am back I have to work my civilian job to catch up.

Scott - this is horrible. Which congressman did you talk to? Were they able to explain why your case is sitting in the ICE investigation office and what will happen next? Have you tried your senator? There must be something they can do . . .

Sorry about not replying earlier. Been gone this weekend. I used Congressman Dennis Hastert local office here in Illinios. They have been very helpful. ICE stands for Immigration and Custom Enforcement. I found out I have an arrest warrant from 12 years ago brought on by a old employer. I had no knowledge and also I have no idea why this is happening. I had a fallin out when I quit and left California. Never realizing all this would come to me after 12 long years. So my name is a name hit. I in the military and have a security clearance. This never came up. This has hit me like a freight train. I want to the extreme and wrote a letter to the director in charge at Nebraska USCIS explaining my story. I never heard of anyone trying it this way but feel I need to try. I am a US Citizen and a military reserve member. There is nothing in the regulations that says I should be denied. Even with this over my head. But someone (ICE) has decided that they should be the judge, jury and executioner. I am a conservative hardworking guy. But this government intrusion into our lives is getting too crazy. I have contacted the DA in California and explained my story. I have nothing to hide. I am innocent. I never tried to hide who I was and where i lived. They had many opportunities to execute the warrant. The question I ask is this a case of the state acting in Due Diligence. At no time had I ever knew what had befallen me. I am waiting for him to look at the case and decide if the want to pursue the criminal lie. I am praying that someone higher up (GOD) will listen. The congressman's office will not get involved until this is resolved. Imagin the headlines. i love Nadya. I tell myself this everyday and I tell Nadya this too.
