congressmen and senators can file an inquiry on your behalf, which pushes the service center into giving them an update.that does not obligate them to process the petition any quicker.there is a couple on this website, and they have been waiting for two years.their petition is cr-1 but never the less its not supposed to take two years.

also keep that in mind the people you talk to on the phone are simply operators, not officers, the easiest way to directly be in touch with an officer is emailing your service center.

for some reason they dont look at your petition, the physical paperwork they have, but they are rather quick at responding to emails.

Hello All

I filed the K-1 visa 5months again, it hasn't been touched in 4months. Does anyone have any experience with filing a K-1 visa with the California Service Center and how long it takes to get the NOA2?

Thanks

everyone's case is different my for example Your I-129f was approved in 133 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 238 days from your I-129F NOA1 date. while others were longer ...and some went extremely fast there are times when they will fly through a bunch of petitions and then there are some when they move slow.

Judging by some other USCIS timelines, it's probably supposed to be a 150 day period to process and then 30 days for it to get to you by mail. If you haven't received it in 180 days they've used up all their excuses.

Late 2006: began exchanging e-mails and IMs on and off

Around November, 2009: decided to meet in person

February, 2010: met in Thailand (first time)

May, 2010: met in Taiwan (second meeting)

August, 2010: got engaged

NOA1: August 26, 2010

November-December, 2010: met again in Taiwan (third meeting)

NOA2: 1/26/2011!

Should be 5 months, though it does say USCIS National Average is 20.8 months. Why?

Well recently they added:

Nebraska: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/ProcTimes.do

National Benefits Center: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/ProcTimes.do

Notice how they both have LOOOONG approval/denial periods (37.7months for NBC) and (53.7months for Nebraska). The rest are 5 months. So those two are factored with the other 3 centers which have 5 months as the goal. So USCIS's "national average" is off by A LOT. I would say they are more or less still on their national goal of 5 months.

Maybe this means they will be using all 5 centers now instead of 2/3 in the near future?
