I don't know if anyone else here has this problem. On 6/3/2010 I filed a I-130, IR1 for my wife with CSC. Recieved NOA1 dated 6/9/2010. In November at the posted 5 month processing time still no NOA2. I called USCIS they told me to call back in 30 days. I did and they gave me a number and told me to wait 45 more days for an answer. Needless to say this answer was not acceptable. I contacted my senator immediatly they gave him the same answer. What is going on here? I have a friend who filed a few days ahead and he is well on his way thru the NVC and now has his GUZ number.

Over 6 month's now no NOA2 going crazy. Any suggestions what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Bob,

From here on out, you should always ask for a Tier 2 officer when you call the USCIS. The Tier 1 person only sees what you can see on the USCIS portal (and it's usually wrong.) If the Tier 2 officer isn't helpful, try calling back later.

I agree that it is ridiculous that we have to wait this long for an answer. I got an RFE. USCIS took their time in "clerical" to send me the specifics on the RFE. It was very simple: I forgot to send our translated marriage registration certificate. I turned it around and was approved in a few days. As you can see, I am in the NVC process, but I just checked the USCIS portal and it still says: "RFE review"! Go figure!

I hope you hear soon!

Hello

A suggustion. 5 mopnth and no NOA-2.

First if you called USCIS they said dont call UNTIL after your NOA-1 has been 180 ( 6 Months )

Your just now at the 6 months mark if i read your remarks correctly.

December 9th is your 6 month or 180 days. Now CSC is back up and not processing all CR-1 and

K-1 on time becasue of the back log of so many cases. SO you have to wait until say January 3rd

and call USCIS and tell them your at mark 200 days and ask what the problem.

Also have you been touched since they took the case at arounf the November 9th mark or been

touched at all ? ?

Sounds like to me they are just still back logged and havent got done yet with your file.

Nothing else you can do..if you can get to a tier 2 level supervisior you maybe get some answers

but cant tell you becasue there is a back logg so big at CSC hardly could tell you when they

are goiung to approve you yet.

if not call the central USCIS headquarter and tell them your problem.

Good Luck.

My case was never transfered to Texas. Have talked to tier 2 person. Case didn't recieve any touches until I got my senator involved. Last touch was 12/8/2010. It is amazing our government want's to do the dream act. Why don't they fix the system before they overload it more? A very tired stressed out veteran and tax payer trying to do it legally. I do not accept the backlog excuse like I said another member here filed two days before me and he is just waiting for interview date now!

Each case is different that the next, dont judge somebody elses case to yours

they are not all done the same time and there maybe some issues they need to check

out before they finish yours. If your past the 180 days your have a legit complaint

for following up on.

Good Luck

I believe, and it's rare for me, you are right in contacting one of your 2 US senators in this case. Six months deserves at least some explanation. Try contacting a tier 2 human and firmly but gently request an answer. If you still do not get an appropriate reply I would recontact the senator or try contacting your other one. Good luck.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

If you look at Filers of June, May, April, March, others have and are going through a similar situation.

You will see a few that are processed in less time, but for the most part many have to wait 5 and 6 months.
