This is my problem. I am a US Citizen! I filed an I130 for my husband on November 22, 2010 (send it on express mail-tracked package delivered on 11/28) i want to know when i might receive notice about my case. i check my back every day and the check haven't clear. Why is taking soooooooooooooooooooo long for the USCIS to send me a least a receipt. How long does it take for this application to be processed? Please respond with any advice you migh have.

Please advice

Its only been 8 working days so i dont think you need to worry too much yet. They cashed my cheque a week before I recieved my NOA1, but for many others they recieve their NOA1 before they see the cheque as cashed!

I also sent in the G1145 but never recieved any electronic notification...

It sucks waiting, but I wouldnt start worrying until the end of next week!

I think you just got caught in the Thanksgiving Holiday backup. Probably added several more days to the normal acceptance processing. I'm sure you'll get it very soon. I hope you also included a form G-1145 to your package...if you did you'll get e-mail and phone text notification when it's officially accepted. It's really nice (when it works).
