I keep seeing a bunch of posts about providing pictures. Problem is, we don't have any except from our wedding. Its usually just the two of us, so kind of hard to get pictures, LOL. Is it really important?

You can't send things you don't have. It would be nice to submit pictures with your application but it is not required. Maybe you can submit other personal evidence that tells about your relationship.

N-400 application timeline

02-27-2012-- (05): check cashed

03-02-2012-- (09): bio appointment notice sent, bio date 03-15 (23)

03-05-2012-- (12): bio notice received

03-21-2012-- (28): scheduled for interview

03-28-2012-- (35): interview notice received

05-02-2012-- (70): interview. Rec. for Approval!

Feb. 14, 2011 received hard copy of NOA for AOS, EAD& AP

Feb. 18, 2011 received appt letter for biometrics

Feb. 28, 2011 biometrics appt @10am

Feb. 28, 2011 received txt/email AOS case transferred to csc

Pictures are not necessary. Pictures don't mean you're still together or that person in the picture is even your spouse. It's a nice touch to add to financial stuff. Bills, bank statements and tax returns are the most powerful tools at this stage.
