Good Morning MENA & happy Tuesday!!

Hope everyone is keeping warm and getting ready for the holidays. I received an email this morning from the embassy, they scheduled Mohameds interview for January 12  But the strange thing is that he still hasn't returned the documents to them, so I'm not sure why they scheduled his interview already  Anyway, he will be back in Egypt any day and will be able to get everything to them before then.

Have a great day all!!! :star:

Good Morning/Sabah el Khair MENA! Hey Jeanne, Terrie, Sunny, Andrea, Vanessa, Rosie, Donna and Mandy (and everyone else not listed on this page).

It's another chilly day here in Minnesnowta! It's 11 degree, but feels like -2  Hubby is so hating this. I don't blame him, I hate it too! We got one of the worst bizzards in years last weekend and of course it would have to be during my DH first winter here. Poor guy, no convincing him that it's not usually this bad at least not this bad in December anyways. Oh well...this is life in the Arctic :P

Congrats on the new job, Jax!

And congrats on Mohamed's interview, Mandy! That's a great day, my son birthday! I was thinking though, that's strange....since he didn't turn in the packet 3 yet? Or is it some other documents needed? Either way, at least he has an interview. Are you going to be with him there?

Life for us is good (other then the weather), alhamdulilah! I can't believe I'm going to have this baby in just 8 weeks! Anyhow, I know it's been a while but wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone and wish everyone well on there journey where ever you may be.

Have a great rest of the week everyone.

Good morning everyone! Beautiful day out. Being in the 70's here is such a blessing!!

Wael isn't feeling too good. Between his 7 classes and his new gluten free diet his immune system

is so down. Told him would see how he's doing today and then it's a doctor's visit if the same. He keeps

assuring me "he's ok"....yea right...stubborn Egyptian sweetheart....Thank goodness only 3 more finals.

Well I should have put myself on you tube video with my "gluten free breadmaking"....what a real laugh!

I'm not the baker at all and I have to say just having the bread come out is one of the 7 wonders of the world!!!

I had more than a mess and just didn't know what the heck to do with this dough as it's consistency is not the

same as regular dough...so brilliant me literally spooned it out of the bowl onto wax paper. Please don't laugh

as yes I am a real dork when it comes to anything that I have to use my hands to knead....wasn't a pretty sight...

Was going to "knead it".........Heavens it looked liked a beached walrus...all flabby and all over the wax paper...

I had the loaf pan ready for the "dough"...only prob....how the heck am I gonna pick it up and do something with it...

ended up I just picked up the wax paper and the dough kinda rolled off into the loaf pan with a "few" little tiny pieces

of wax paper "missing'....Ohhh heaven's....it was worth a thousand words when I told Wael just in case he had

something extra in the bread it was only wax paper  ...didn't bother him at all...

The bread actually came out beautiful and he loved it!! I worked a miracle. I really don't like baking now!! I have to

come up with another plan with the bread. I love when a plan comes together!! :D

Sure hope everyone is having a good day!! It's always great to have a good laugh!!!

Hope everyone else is having a great week!!

I am laughing...but not AT you...I really am laughing with you because my Omar misses the homemade bread from Morocco so much that I have tried to do it here and what you were describing sounded so much like the first couple of batches I tried and oh my gosh the mess that was my kitchen!! They actually have food processors that have a bread kneading attachment and I plan on getting one soon. I found one at Walmart that is about $50, which I think is reasonable if I don't ever have to knead dough again. LOL!

I am with your honey and I was born and raised here! When I go outside in this weather, I think I might die. :P My honey is scared too, though. He has been living in tropical Malaysia for so long. It's been more than 5 years since he's seen a temperature below 75F! My parents are planning on buying him a Columbia jacket as a "welcome to America" gift. And maybe gloves, hat, scarf, boots, snow pants, long underwear.... Haha, we need it all.

I love the bread baking stories. I'm anxiously trying to learn how to cook a few dishes before my fiance gets here. I am terrible in the kitchen!
