You need the card to be employed (most employers would feel more comfortable seeing the card in your hand). But you can definitely start looking for work and set up some interviews. By the time you are employed the card should be in your hand. Do you have an SSN already?

My EAD was Approved last friday (YEAHH)

Now my question IS can i work now? or do i have to wait till i actually get my card ??

Thank You :)

It might be approved but you do not yet have "proof" to show the prospective employer when preparing the I-9 form

YMMV

An I-9 is a form your employer will have you fill out within 3 days of being hired. On it you will list and record the specific documents you are using to show work authorization. For a USC, that's usually a drivers license and unqualified social security card. For you, that will be your EAD card or GC. You will sign [under penalty of perjury] that you are work-authorized, and your employer will sign [again, under penalty of perjury] that they have seen and inspected the work authorization documents you presented.

Your employer is not allowed to pick and choose which legal combination of documents they will or will not accept. If the I-9 says a combination of documents is legal, they have to accept it.

You can download and take a look at the I-9 form from the USCIS web site.
