congrats to you.. seems the California Center is so much better than the Vermont Center...

What is wrong with CSC? They were so backlogged and needed help so they transferred their July and August files to TSC in November but now CSC is processing September and October? What kind of system is that? For those September and October filers who were already approved, good for you.

sis michaillah07 ive seen you just recently took ur interview and exam is it hard? mine will be on the 26th im still reviewing on my civic test. any tips guys by any chance

I had my interview in 2009. It was easy nothing to worry. The questions they asked me were:

1. How many ammendments does the constitution have?

2. Name one branch of the government.

3. What are the two rights only for USC?

4. Name the US war between the North and the South.

5. What ocean is on the east coast of the US?

I got all first 5 questions correctly so the officer did not asked for other questions.

Good luck. Just read review all the questions and you should be fine.

How long usually does USCIS send NOA after the e-mail saying it's been forwarded to the service center?

or.. how long does it take for the service center to send NOA1 after they receive the packet?

or.. how long does it take to receive the NOA1 after check enchashment?

Well bottom line is.. don't have NOA1 yet :( Cash encashed 1/10. Got the notification e-mail 1/7.

Any thoughts?

Hi there! Although it could take up to 30 days for you to receive your NOA1, I would suggest you call USCIS and ask them if they mailed you your NOA1 yet and if yes, which address they sent it to and when.

Thanks R&W! Hang in there and you will get your NOA1 and NOA2 too very soon! I think due to New Year and other January holidays there is some delay in sending you your NOA1.

I have DS-230 ready but I need to file my 2010 taxes first to be ready for AOS. I hope I will be ready in 2 weeks or so.

I am very happy that getting NOA2 did not take longer than 5 months. I feel so sorry for those guys who filed back in Aug and Sep 2010 and have not received their approvals yet. I feel somewhat guilty at this point but maybe there is a difference based on the countries - I do not know how these service centers operate...

Anyway, if I were you, I would call USCIS just to make sure they mailed your NOA1 to the right address!

Good luck to you and your parents!

Just an update:

I just called NVC number today and was told that on 27 Jan 2011 NVC entered both cases in its system and assigned new case numbers. Exactly 6 days after USCIS approved both cases for my parents. Very nice!

My parents are from Belarus and their NVC's case numbers begin with WRW which stands for Warsaw, Poland... Well, no easy way for my parents to get to the US Embassy. I was hoping they will be sent to Moscow, Russia for an interview (there is no border between Belarus and Russia and no need to get a visa) but now I know they should go to Warsaw, Poland... And it is not fun because they need to get their Polish visas. What a crazy process for my folks! Oh well, at least their cases are being processed on time here in the US. I am really thankful for that!

Just want to update that on february 3, 2011, finally got an email notification from USCIS that my father's I-130 form (which I sent on July 17, 2011) has been approved and will now be transfered to NVC. I am expecting for the NOA2 hard copy in the mail soon. I would say it's long overdue but it comes with a relief that finally they had worked on the July cases and hopefully my co-petitioners who are on the same timeline or similar will get theirs, too!

Goodluck to us!!:-)
