When your Fiance/Fiancee or Husband/Wife go to they interview they are ask questions about you. I know the person who interviews will have a record of basic questions like your name, where you from, how old are you, where you work, but how would they know the answers to questions about your parents, where you went to school, your supervisor, your hobbies and such. Do they interview the petitioner? Really how do they know? If you have been through an interview, what are some of the questions ask besides the ones I mention above? How long was the interview? How many questions were asked? How long after the interview did it take to get visa? If denied, what were some of the reasons given for being denied?

To be honest with you the CO wouldnt know the answers to what I call random questions like your hobbies or what you do on weekends or what is your favorite TV show etc....My fiance and I had practice answers we would say to random questions like that for example he knew that if asked what are my hobbies he would say working out. Or if asked what is my favorite thing to do the answer would be working out. Also questions what I like to watch the answer was CNN so we had some answers prepared for random questions. We called those standing answers. This helped him so he wouldnt have to try and remember so much. However the questions about the parents the embassy will know because you put there info on the G-325 that you send so that must be right when you answer and school is a normal question as well so he may need to know that too because I think you fill out the school info on one of the forms I think I cant even remeber. My advice to my fiance was to answer every question no matter what dont looked stumped and on the "random questions" there is no right or wrong because they dont know anyway so I told him to think on his toes. That is how me and my fiance went about it so no need to worry on the random questions just go over random answers.

I have posted my review of my experience under my timeline pls feel free to go there and see what other questions that could be asked. The interview is usually short and to the point and the number of questions asked depends on the CO. Good luck I hope I answered some of your questions. Oh it only took us one week after the interview to get his visa.

You can check out the embassy reviews. A lot of people have posted their questions there.

Also, just do a search in this forum. People have posted their experiences here.

If the petitioner is present then they will probably be interviewed.

They can ask whatever they feel like asking. Really I think they don't know the answer and are just seeing your response. They asked Joseph what my parents jobs were , he replied that they had both been dead for years. She asked again what they did , he responded that they would never do again what they did on earth and he had no way to know what people in heaven do. She dropped the line ( and he got the visa ) He was also asked at an interview to disclose details of my classified work which he couldn't and they insisted then denied the visa. I filed an attempted espionage report over that line of questioning. They asked if his father died because he was marrying a white woman and he presented picture of us together sharing Kola and smiling and said not at all.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
