Hi! I'm new to this forum. My parents are from Phils with PD of 1991. It became current just this Sept 2010 and we are currently processing all docs needed.

My parents petition (F4) were current when Sept 2010 VB became available. We received AOS and paid the fee and asked us to send Affidavit of Support docs which we did. After sending that, we received request from NVC to pay IV fee for both parents which we also did, sometime this month. I happened to check VB for December 2010 and F4 category retrogressed for approx. 3 years, (parents PD 1991 retrogressed to 1988).

My question, I've already paid all of the fees and we're just gathering and completing all necessary docs to be filed along with my parents DS-230. Will their documents be accepted and will their application push through even if it has retrogressed? How long should the processing time be before it becomes current again?

Thanks all for the reply. Very much appreciated.

First Good Luck on the progress.

I think you are good to go.:star:

as ur done with the IV processing fee, all NVC has to do is to review and send it to the consulate.

You can go ahead and send in your DS-230 documents..

Only cases which are to begin their NVC processing will be affected..:bonk:

thank you so much. do you have an idea how long usually the wait is until it becomes current? it retrogressed 3 years so does that mean, a wait time of more or less 2 years?

thanks again.
