WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama's top adviser suggested to The Huffington Post late Wednesday that the administration is ready to accept an across-the-board, temporary (not as of latest reports) continuation of steep Bush-era tax cuts, including those for the wealthiest taxpayers.

That appears to be the only way, said David Axelrod, that middle-class taxpayers can keep their tax cuts, given the legislative and political realities facing Obama in the aftermath of last week's electoral defeat.

I just went on Amazon and ordered a dozen of these for delivery to 1600 Penn Ave. They ought to make it required reading over there. Seriously.

I'm saying that it would appear that my 4 year old daughter is a more skilled negotiator than anyone that roams around the White House these days.

What he should be doing is absolutely nothing, block everything and let the country fall to ######. Basically, give the liberteapartians exactly what they asked for and show the stupidity of their mindset.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I'd still say that's a bit harsh ...

... on your 4 year old daughter.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself
