Hi Everyone!

Im just wondering if anybody has a recent experience about walking in for biometrics in the St. Paul, MN USCIS office. I am convincing my husband to walk-in on Wednesday. He refuses to go and said that we may not be accommodated if it is not our scheduled appointment or if we will, we may have to wait for hours. But so far, I have not seen anybody turned away or waited hours.Ü

It is completely random whether they will let you in or not. We got turned away but it won't harm your case at all. Some people try twice and get in on the second try. I don't think they will make you wait hours; if they tell you yes then it means the office is slow right now and they have room for you. Some people try to go midweek because it's rumored to be a slow time. Also, it doesn't really speed up your application in most cases, so if you get turned away, no need to fret :) Good luck!

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

My husband and I were there a few weeks ago and saw somebody walk in while we were waiting. The woman at the front said it was fine because there wasn't a huge crowd. We've been there a few times now and the people are pretty polite (very minnesotan you know) so that even if they didn't accept the walk-in I don't think they would be rude about it. They might even let you wait until there was a lull. I don't think it would hurt you to try.

good luck.

We were turned down initially. We went there 8am and it was busy! The man who assisted us said if we cannot make it on our scheduled date then we have to reschedule, I was sure we can't so I said I will reschedule. He took the letter and said that we will receive another appointment letter. We were about to go home but I thought I didn't make a copy of the letter, so I went back to get the letter and tell them that I will just mail it in. The man asked if we can make it after lunch, he asked us to go back 1:30 PM and so we did!Ü Zero people in the afternoon, so if you want to try you might want to go there around 1-2 PM.Ü
