Good news!

Funny how the appointment setting works out, we got the same date though we filed at different times. Though another same day filer has theirs at a later date. No first come first serve here, just luck of the draw

Yeah, I noticed. I think maybe it's down to how busy each office is :)

we will try to do walk in for our biometrics today. fingers crossed. have a great day everyone. :-)

Good luck with it! Please let us know how it went.

Can someone help me understand,y some people say they can walk in after they get the biometrics

Sometimes if you walk-in at an earlier date to the local USCIS office where your biometrics appointment is scheduled, you can get away with getting it done sooner. That is if you walk in on a non-busy day and they are nice enough to let you in. Some have reported success doing this, others have been turned away even though the office inside was mostly empty.

It's been a while since I read up on the case reporting stuff, but I think (I hope I'm right!) that the biometrics letters were showing up as RFEs at one point? Do a little searching, and see whatchya get.

Ahhhh, shoulda looked at your timeline to see if you updated there *grin*

There's little use speculating, but seems there's lots of RFEs for I-693s at the moment. Did you get one or just send in your DS-3035?

Ok thanks ldg does that mean u get the ss and work permit quicker am hoping

Some members who did a walk-in early have reported getting their EAD quicker, while i've seen others have waited the normal timeframe. So whether it speeds things up or not, i still don't have a concrete answer. We'll just wait our turn. But i'd like to see what comes out of those that go early and are successful and if they get their EAD quicker.
