i was reading this forum today and found some info here http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse about all cr1 visa process....

but 2 things are not clear to me.

first is - it says " Be proactive with NVC to speed up the things, email NVCINQUIRY@state.gov to provide both the petitioner and beneficiary email ,Email DS-3032 ..... )

So does it mean i have to take this steps before USCIS says so? If i do that, can that mess up something? Im hesitant to do something i was not to do so. and what if i send email to USCIS with DS-3032 and after that receive in the mail same request from them? do i send it again?

Second (and most important) - i read about IV Packet which containts 2 Passport-sized photographs of the beneficiary,Completed and signed form DS-230 Part 1 by the beneficiary ETC...

So is it me (US citizen, petitioner) who needs to send it to USCIS? Or my wife (currently in europe) ? If its my wife, where she send it? to US ambassy?

thanx

Hello!

As for the NVC part...that doesn't start until after you have received your NOA2 from USCIS approving your petition. Then your case will be transferred to NVC and NVC will assign you a case number (which you have to call for). Then you will give the operators your e-mail address and your spouse's e-mail address. Next comes in to play the DS3032, you can e-mail this out as soon as you have your case number. You will most likely receive an e-mail from NVC asking you to send the DS3032 even if you have sent it already. That is because it is an automatic e-mail that has other important information for you.

2nd part- You will need some other things for the IV package during the NVC stage but your wife can send you her civil documents and everything that you need from her and you can send it to NVC (which is where it goes). Once you are at the NVC step it will makes sense (or you can also try reading LingChe's guide for some help or join one of the monthly NVC threads :) ) Your wife could send it all as well to the NVC (which you will have to make sure she prints out the invoiced sheet from the NVC payment portal...this will also give you the address to send that package too). But you might just want to make sure everything is there before it gets sent. Depends on how well you both go over the packet to make sure everything is there and accurate.

I hope what I said made sense. If not, just reply and someone will come along and make it more clear :)

Have a good rest of your process!

thx for your response

Do i call them because im required to do so? Or just to speed up process?

You are not required to call them...if you are perfectly happy waiting for things to happen (no matter how long that is), then you are free to do so.

The shortcuts are there for some members who want to get a jump on the process. It saves them a lot of time, and helps them get to next steps days or weeks quicker.
