Evidence Presentation

Just wondering how people present their evidence?

We have everything in binder clips with no staples (so phone bills, email, skype, text messages, etc).

Should we have a cover page to each section saying what it is? or a sticky note? or something or is just all of the evidence in the binder clip okay?

Thanks!

I am also wondering about this. Are paper clips okay? Sticky notes? Will they make us take papers out of binders?

Thanks!

Jen and Babs

We had one of those file folders with 5 or 7 pockets and what-not. The consular person asked for information separately: evidence of relationship; financial support; medical, police report, birth certificate; DS forms. So, with us it didn't matter if we brought the info in a file folder, suitcase, or just carrying it in our hands... when they asked for particular info, we gave it to them, as long as it was organized when it was handed to the consular dude.

Paper clips were ok, and there were some staples on stuff here and there.

Yeh, cover sheet not needed. The "areas" should be good enough, which will make things easier to locate for your fiance when consular asks for them.

We have the accordian file with file folder labeled and then everything in binder clips- because i have seen no staples- so that was the best way to me to present the information-

how are people presenting snail mail- we actually have a lot of it- we had a clear plastic envolope that zips- but i am not sure if that will be okay to hand over-(it will fit but just for the CO's confiance! do you think we should put them in binder clips as well? elastic? should they be in order?

Thanks!

As our case at the U.S. Embassy in Hong Kong, my fiance was told to remove all the sticky notes, paper clips and staples before they would even talk to her. Just make sure you have all your information and remember what is on those papers. They (the interviewers) WILL ask you those questions. If you dont give them the answers that you have on your paperwork they will think something is suspicious as in our case. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
