Hi,

I sent DS230 along with all the required civil documents marriage certificate, passport clearance etc. to NVC on sept 23 and they got it on sept 24. I also have the confirmation that someone at NVC accepted the documents. I got an email from NVC that they have not received the DS230 along with the civil documents. I got this email after i sent the documents. When i emailed them explaining that i express mailed the documents to NVC and someone at NVC accepted it, they are still telling me that they are waiting on the DS230. The email seems like an automated message to me. I tried calling 6033340700 but can't get through. I am worried. I hope they didn't misplace the documents.

Please tell me what should i do.

you'll have to keep trying the phone number. it's a little hard sometimes but if you keep pressing the redial long enough, you'll get through. call them to check if it's already in their system. hopefully they did not lose your packet.

We sent our docs the same day or just before yall and we got the automated e-mail too. They did not actually process the paperwork until Sept 30. Im still waiting on them to tell me they are doen with review and will send to consulate.

When someone accepts your package, they don't right around enter your forms into the system. They probably just toss them in a bucket and go back to signing in more packets. Once the bucket gets filled and sorted, it goes to someone's desk who doesn't get to your case right away. Probably in few days they get started and take their time entering your info into the system. Meanwhile, the automatic system keeps emailing your telling you that the documents are missing. This happens when AOS gets processed and NVC is still either waiting on DS230 or waiting to enter the data. This is what you call a false RFE. Give them reasonable amount of time and then get to calling. Hopefully you have your mailing proof it you never need to use them. Good luck.

what Indigo said is correct. it does take several weeks for the documents to show up in their system. it's somewhere with the hundreds of thousands of mail they get daily...so you have to play the hardest game of you life....the waiting game.
