Hey guys whats up? Im new to the forums so I'm trying to learn my ways.

I had my AOS interview this past monday October 4th 2010 8:45am at the Chula Vista office in San Diego Ca. Me (21 years old, but under child protection act 19 years old with a tourist visa) and my dad who is a permanet resident and pettioned for me arrived 15 minutes early. I showed my appointment notice at the entrance, then we went to the waiting area to be called. exactly at 9:10am the IO called us in. we took the oath before seating. the first thing he asked was to show him my tourist visa my birth certificate and my dads green card. he went ahead and asked my dads where he works (dad answered) and who visited who (i used to live in mexico my whole life and visit my dad here on the US whenever I could)we both answered that we visited each other.meanwhile he couldnt access his computer and he said that on mondays alwyas the computer get slow with updates etc..then he went ahead and asked me about all the queastions on the I485 form.. the ones related to terrorist, drugs etc... he could access his computer at all and he told us to wait he siad he was going to check is there was a visa number for me..he came back and said that there was a visa for me and that is good we had the interview today and not before october becuase something to do with the visa year avaliables i didnt undertand what he was taking about.. then he told us he would approve me as soonest he could (he said even you are 21 you are technically 19 due to the child protection act) get in his computer and that is there is any trouble he would call us. he took away my tourist visa saying that i wont need it becuase now im a permanent resident and that i would get some letter on two weeks then by the third week the GC itself. and pointed out to make sure my name was on the mailbox other wise the GC would be sent back to factory..

I havent seen any updates on the website yet.. and i been reading some other post where they said they get updates next day after the interview.. should i worry??? my worry is IO basically just tolds we were approve before actually accessing his computer and didnt get any prove.. like a letter oor stamp.. IO took my tourist visa saying i wont need it no more.. he looked it at my work permit but he didnt took it.. if the computer was working i think the actual time of the interview was less than 10 min..

note

I didnt took my passport with me due it was expired long time ago and i didnt have and I-94 due that i was living with my aunt on tijuana for a while

my I130 was file don 2006 and approved 2009

Thanks for listening and please share your thinking.. if you have specific queastions about my case i would answer i dont have a timelime like most of the users have.. Thanks again

I wouldn't worry. It's only been 2 days.

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to Bringing Family Members of Permanent Residents to America as the prior forum is for K1, K2, K3 & K4 visas so this is a more appropriate location**

Ok thanks.. In your experience whta do you think about my case? since probably you have seen more experiences than me on the forums... :P

Looks good to me. Should take around a week I think till you get "approved" online. I wouldn't worry at all :D
