Hi guy, please help me understand this delama.

I am fron Cameroon. i file for a K1 visa for my fiance, which i visited only once last december. we made a mistake by did not taking a lot of pictures. her k1 visa was approve and send for an interview in cameroon. on the interview day, she answer all the question, still they gave her a yellow paper and ask her to come in 3 months. the yellow paper saying: " Additional proof of your relationship, such as photos, phone record, or other proof unique to your situation. if these are not avalable, DNA testing may be an option." my question is:

1) has any one ever received a yellow paper before?

2) can they realy perform a DNA test as the last obtion of evidence?

3) i send them all the picture we took except one picture on which we were kissing on. do you think that if i send them that picture, it mind save our case?

thank you in advance guy. i realy want to hear what you think.

DNA testing is only good if you share a child, do you share a child?

A kissing picture will not make or break your case.

what else did you send in? e-mails? letters? bording passes/passport stamps?

What have you already sent in as a response to the RFE

Good luck

I am from Cameroon too. We are still waiting to have an interview date. My fiancé and I do not have a lot of pictures too but what we have been saving as evidence are emails, skype call records, phone records (calling card does not prove anything, mark u), money gram receipts that I send money to her frequently, yahoo chat logs and screen shots of us on video calls. If I were u, these are what I will be saving forward. You may also want to visit her within this period, it will be worth it. Take more pictures then.

Good luck and please fill you timeline and embassy experience to help others help u.

my second fiance interview is in december. in the first interview, she was ask to bring more proof like pictures. my question is:

if i go visit her before her interview and we take more picture for her to go to the interview. would that help us?

I would think that an additional visit might help, but it might be even MORE helpful for you to go to the interview with her. Do you have more evidence that you did not submit? If so, make sure your fiancee gets it so she can take it with her to the interview.

Best wishes!

I think boarding passes and passport stamps are mainly needed for I-129 approval,as USCIS is more concerned that you must have met once in last two years but still you can use them as a proof of relationship.

The most important thing in this situation is the proof of ongoing legitimate relationship.

YES! it sure will! take tons of pics and you can always make more proof! when my fiancé was here we rented an apartment together and sent them the lease, also u try to buy something from the same shop in the same time with your credit card and her credit card so they know you both were in the same place in the same time.. i hope that helps

Well, I know someone who has the yellow paper but not for additional proof of relationship.

I have a couple of suggestions

1) Go to cameroon and do a traditional enguagement

2) Get certified affidavits from family members and friends. Her father could write one and someone from your side of the family can write one.

3) Emails are good but phone records are better, it show how serious the relationship is when you spend money. Emails is a free means of communication. So have good phone records.

Best wishes

I agree with Admire My PS, my fiancé had the yellow paper on Monday Oct 4, in Yaoundé because she had only one copy of DS-156. So they gave her the Yellow slip and asked her to bring the copy the following day. When she got there at 1pm, her visa was approved.

I followed most of the advice I got from Admire My PS and our case was very easy, we had tons of emails, yahoo chats/voice, skype chats and call logs, phone call logs (calling cards will not prove anything), I also had 4 affidavits of Bona fide relationship (from her mom, brother, and my 2 friends), we had screen shots of both of us on webcam (skype and yahoo messenger), money gram receipts.

Mark you, we had ONLY 3 photos together that we took last December, at the time, I did not know if I was going to do the K-1 or go back to marry in cameroon.

All these other evidences made our case.

Hope this helps.
