Hi all. I'll be filing for AOS on monday. However, I'd like to know if I can apply for AOS using my married name. I came to the US on a K3 visa last year using my maiden name. However, I want to take my husbands last name. Can I file with my husbands last name or do I have to file with my maiden name. Thank you for helping me out with an answer.

If you want your GC in your married name then put your married name on the forms, and your maiden name in "other names".

Thank you for your answer. I am confused though.. I just talked to someone at USCIS and she said I would have to get a court order document saying I legally changed my name to my husbands name...? So I haven't been using his last name, however isn't being married to him enough to be able to use his last name? I don't know what to do.

The person you spoke to is an idiot. The marriage certificate is sufficient to prove a LAST name change. If you changed your first or middle name then you will need a court order.
