It's Jeffrey !! I like his collections, but I don't like the two blue dresses, they just seemed too odd for me...

I actually like Uli's the best (to my own surprise !!), I really like the long sleeve silver dress and the swimsuit.

Sooo glad that Laura didn't win, she is such a two-faces-freakin-b!tch !! Cannot believe that after Tim declared that Jeffrey didn't cheat, she out of a sudden said "I didn't want to make him cry, I didn't mean to make him not showing at Bryant Park... " bla bla bla... what a hipocrite ! If you are a B! at least admit it to yourself that you are one ...

Michael's was very blah... not a surprise that he lost.

ETA: ooppss, I guess I just spoiled the rest of you guys living in west coast. Sorry, couldn't help it !

Jeffrey was the only Designer but cant believe anyone would actually wear his clothes

Lauras was beatiful she is a craftswoman. Uli's was the biggest surprise beautiful use of fabric design and understanding of a womans body WOW

Michaels was what I had thought all along and was so pleased when someone said 70's  and it didnt have the finish or class of the other three

As a design show I guess the best designer won but I bet neither Laura nor Uli are ever out of work

Hmmmm gotta find something else to do when hubby goes to work on Wednesdays now

Hmmm I'm a little dissapointed. It kinda seemed that Jeffrey came, threw some pieces of shredded cloth togehter (I just didn't see it in that green striped dress which was supposed to be soooo beautiful), they made some tam tam for him and now he one. I mean, sure he was consistently good but....well...it leaves me kinda empty....don't know. Anyway, the German Chick came in second and that was cool after all. Go ULI.

Widge,

Top Chef?

Did you stay up to watch the season premier that followed Project Runway? On the commercial breaks they inserted some very interesting clips of comments on each other by the PR finalists.

What a disappointment. :o

There you have a designer where even the judges say

- "she understands about a woman's body"

- "I would wear every single one of your designs"

- "I was asked immediately afterwards where one can get her line"

(refering to Uli)

and another one who knows absolutely all about quality and clean lines with no clutter, but clever accents

(refering to Laura)

and then somebody like this Jeffrey with his ragtag collection wins? PLUS the idea with the zippers on the striped dress (the only interesting detail) was stolen from John Galliano. PLUS he tried so hard to copy Vievienne Westwood, but fail big time.

That is soooooooooo, sooooooooooo, sooooooooooo wrong.

On the other hand, having seen what Ms. Klum was wearing during the duration of the show (from frumpy to plain ridiculous) - being a judge on a fashion show does not seem to imply that you need to have taste, let alone good taste when it comes to fashion.

Ah, I am so angry about this outcome.

I totally thought it would be her too!

he failed miserably at faking Vivienne!

i loved Uli's collection as well, and I would wear it all... Maybe she went too safe?

i found Jeffrey's innovative and artsy, but thats about it.

Laura's gowns were beautiful, but the judges were right... she is meticulous and exacting, perfect, but not an innovator. We have seen those kinds of dresses before.

Michael's collection was ragged.

Agreed!

I would wear Uli's stuff too...but I think as far as longevity is concerned, the fact that Jeffrey is an 'innovator' is what possibly made them think that he'd have the longest career? Uli's stuff was great, but come on...enough about fcking Miami! And I'm from there too!

um yeah!,... i was like GET OVER IT when she was talking about movig to experience new colors.. puleaze! she just loves it and has no inkling to go another route... too safe, end result.

Jeffrey was a hit because it was different, not because it would necessarily sell.

My impression is that it was all cooked and orchestrated.

They built up Jeffrey as the underdog with the sadly missing chin who is on the brink of being kicked out because of the accusations of having cheated and then - voila - there he is, like a phoenix out of the ashes, the grinning winner.

Now, if that isn't the fulfillment of the "yes, you too can make it"-dream, then I don't know. That's how one draws an audience and gets ratings for selling ads on the next season.

I honestly regret having wasted my time with this show.
