Going to Tokyo later today

We're about to sign and send the initial I-129F paperwork. I'm going to have my last trip to Tokyo later today before we send the package. Mostly we're planning to sign the documents, and possibly try to take the passport-type photo in the same place.

Besides an opportunity for more pictures, boarding passes, hotel receipts, etc, is there anything we can do there together to help our application?

Enjoy your trip. Make sure that you make exact copies of the final package you send in including signatures.

We fillied out all of the paperwork and had the photos made together when she came to visit me here in the US. I am planning on going back to Osaka to visit her during Thanksgiving. That will help us accumulate more evidence that she can use for the interview. I also plan on taking the I-134, tax transcripts, and updated Fiance Letter of Intent with me to hand to her personally.

Don't forget any evidence on phone calls. If you can get a log of phone calls, or internet calls, that can help on your 129F package. If the officer sees lots of phone calls to the same place, he'll get that you are in love.

Good Luck,

Samuel

S & M, evidence of a bonafide relationship isn't really necessary at the petition stage unless you're dealing with a difficult consulate. You can check with your regional forum to see if front loading your petition is recommended for your consulate; for Tokyo I don't believe it is. :)

Get plenty of sleep before the long flight and make sure you do not leave the stove on at your place when you leave for the airport and bring plenty of books to read during the trip. Let your dog out to pee pee also. :P

Thank you everyone for your replies. We are in Kobe now. This was my 8th visit to Japan so at the very least I have a lot of visa stamps in my passport. :)

Thanks again for the help.
