We filed our papers last March 26,2010 and we got the receipt notice last April 05,2010. My husband checked our case status last August 08, 2010 ( our 2nd wedding anniversary) and it said that our case is under initial review. Until we don't hear anything if our case is approved or what. Should we call the USCIS for this? How long are we going to wait. I want to be with my husband before Thanksgiving day or before my birthday on December and of course on Christmas. They sholud realize we miss each others arms. I wish those who are holding our papers should work on it fast. I am begging! What's next after approval?

Good luck guys!

If you have passed 5 or 6 months period:

1) Try to call USCIS first

2) If fails, try to contact Congressman/Senator

3) If fails, try to contact CIS Ombudsman: http://www.dhs.gov/files/programs/editorial_0497.shtm

4) If fails, try to write and email to first lady

5) If all fails, just wait

beancare,

This is what i did and i worked for me. Don't wait until 5 or 6 months time and contact your local congressman. I contacted my congressman in 3 months, and 1 months after that. I think you should contact them now. It may take couple day to a week for them to respond.

In fact, step# 5 must be like this: Wait 30 days and repeat the loop from Step# 1.

USCIS would not encourage to contact them if the last investigation date is less than 30 days.

Now I am going to sound rude but they do not give a damn what you want :) W e all wanted this-I wanted my love to be with me on xmass,on ney yr,on my b-day,ON OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY..There are people here whose babies are toddlers already and still waiting...so,knowing that, and thet you are not the only one with your wishful thinking-should be a little easier.I started my case in Dec of 2009 and it was complete in june of 2010..plus 2 months waiting for interview...So you be prepared for at least 6 months. In fact if only that much, consider yourself lucky ;)

loool..If all fails.just wait :D

Sam

Whatever you do-you'll end up waiting :) So he's right :)
