For some embassies, the results are mailed and for others, the applicant has to pick them up and bring them to the embassy at the interview date in a sealed and unopened envelope (sealed by the doctor of course).

I'm sure somebody from Afghanistan can give you better info though. :)

Hi

How does the visa applicant obtain the medical results. Is it mailed or does it have to be picked up. The medical exam will be at Islamabad, Pakistan.

You pick it up after one day from the same place. Make sure you take the result with you to the embassy.
