Missing a Document

Well I'm in panic mode officially. If I am missing his taxes, but have everything else, whats the worse that will happen? AP? or flat out denial? I have paystubs, bank statements, bank letter, employer letter, copies of his W2's for 2007, 2008 and 2009, 401K statement, and his income level is fine. I'm just missing his tax info. (He's working on it but I'm one of those 'prepare for the worst and hope for the best' people who ask a million paranoid questions)

You will probably get approved pending you send back the information they request. Shouldn't be too bad, just call the IRS and get the tax transcripts.

Yeah hes called and asked for them its just a race to the finish line really.

When I got mine it took less then 2 weeks to get them in the mail.

he has 2 other options, besides waiting for IRS to 'go postal' -

--fax in to him - same day service - or

--go to local IRS office, get them printed - same day service.

Oh yeah i totally forgot about that, Get him to go to the nearest Irs and get it printed out right there. There are usually Irs places everywhere or maybe that is just in my mind Don't stress about it, stressing will only cause you grief,confusion and mental pain lol, worse case scenario you are approved with "information requested", However If he can get down to an Irs building or get them to fax the paperwork(first is usually easier), then your back in business. Mother in law works in an IRS office, there's one in at least each state's major cities. That would be your best option, and you could get it back in time! I'm sure that even though your fiance might have to drive somewhere a little far from home, it's better than being put in AP... Good luck!

If you have his W-2's, that may work. You have plenty of other supporting evidence, so see what they say. As the other reply stated, they may hold your case briefly until they receive the info they need. In addition, if you're really stressed and need some peace of mind, maybe e-mail the Vancouver Consulate to see what they say..at least that way you'll be prepared for what to expect and maybe it'll even put your mind at ease if they say you have nothing to worry about.

I am not sure exactly what my fiance gave me but he just printed off from his online payroll system a piece of paper stating how much he made each year and how much taxes he paid etc... along with his last 5 paystubs and a print out of his current bank statement along with a form from the US Army stating what his BAH will be once we're married. I am not sure if the tax info we gave was what you are referring to but we were approved with what I gave. Because they don't ask for anything specific you may be ok - they are just asking for proof and if you have enough of that with your other docs you may do alright kiddo.

OK! He got them today and they are being faxed as I type this.

NOw.. I have to stop reading the forums until after my interview or I'll find more things to worry about! LOL. *muah* You guys are the bomb diggety!
