Hello,

according to the NVC our AOS and IV bill have been sent out by email and we should receive them within 2 days.

We decided just tonight not to use our attorney anymore.

What do we do now? Do we have to start all over with the NVC or can we still "use" the bills they have sent us?

I really hope somebody will be able to help out...

EDIT: Could we fire our attorny tomorrow, get the bills this week, pay for them and then let the NVC know we are not using an attorney anymore so we are not going to have to start all over?

You don't have to start all over again in NVC. If you want to remove attorney, call NVC live operator and remove him/her. It is that simple!

Hi Loto, thanks for the answer.

What about the DS3032?

Hi Loto, thanks for the answer.

What about the DS3032?

When you talk to live NVC operator, they will advise. Most probably, you need to re-file DS-3032.

Thanks again..

But isn't the DS3032 created before the IV Bill?

Yes, that's correct.

But I-864 is an independent track. It does not have any DS-3032 connection.

I guess I worry that they would cancel the IV Bill which has already been sent out. And if they cancel that (due to missing DS3032) they would have to resent the AOS bill, since that was one email...It has already been 1 month since our NOA2, I do not want to lose even more time :(

Your best bet is to talk to a live NVC operator.

Did you already pay AOS bill?

NVC told us they had sent out both bills 08-xx-2010.

Since our attorney has not received anything so far we called today and they re-sent it.

So no, we have not paid anything so far. But both bills have been generated and sent out.

If you have an attorney named on your I-130, you do not receive a DS-3032 to fill out. They automatically assume that your attorney is your agent. All you need to do is call the NVC or email them at NVCInquiry@state.gov with your name, beneficiary name, case number, and birthdates. Just tell them that you want to remove your attorney and give them the name and contact info of your new agent (you), and you're all set.

We fired our attorney after we paid both bills but before we turned in our I-864 and DS-230 and it was no problem at all.
