 i would make a crappy eye witness to anything!

here is a great article about misidentification

http://www.slate.com/blogs/blogs/thewrongstuff/archive/2010/08/17/reasonable-doubt-innocence-project-co-founder-peter-neufeld-on-being-wrong.aspx?GT1=38001

that would probably be abuse of a corpse.

 GMTA

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.

I do not agree with what the mother says about her son, if she did a better job of parenting, then her son would not be dead - but it's easier to blame someone else when your child goes bad.

i dont agree with the mother, BUT, i have issue with blaming parents when a child goes bad. IDK this specific family but i do know that good people can have bad children. yes, she could have homeschooled him or sent him to private school... though doubtful they had money for this if he is turning to life of crime. a lot of people are struggling and have no options other than govt school and the influences in some of those schools are horrible. influences on a child when they are young followed by peer pressure on a teen can make children do things against their home teachings. i was blessed to have a very strict father, but what about the children who grow up with a single mom who is trying to raise a child, put food on table, clothes on back and roof overhead? moms arent usually a fear factor in a child's life like a father can be... i could see a child risking the wrath of a mom. Another thing you have to take into consideration is environment... a boy can be convinced he is 'helping' his mom in a situation like that. he's too young to get a legal job, and he sees soemone getting away with robbery and they're flush with cash... he might risk it. i can see all kinds of scenarios a kid might do this stupid stuff and disregard his upbringing.

think about how much time a child spends under the influence of others versus at home and actively engaged with their parents.... between babysiters, school, outside activities, how much time does a child who goes to school really spend with parents/family? family is where a child learns to interact properly with others (i.e. manners and appropriate behaviour to others, appropriate behaviour in the community), the family is where a child learns the basics... but so many rely on the govt (i.e. schools) to teach these things to children when they should focus on reading/writing/arithmetic becasue proper social skills are NOT learned at school where the children lower themselves to the worst in the group.

for those who have an interets in this... go make a visit to your nearest prison (not "jail" but "state prison"), see what the grounds look like, see what the cafeteria looks like, really get a "feel" of the place, then go to your nearest high school and do same. it will give you chills.
