Our NOA2 was August 1st and I've been trying to get hold of the NVC since this morning & can't go thru the operator. I will keep you posted though.

looks like our case files could probably be neighbors on someone's desk. our dates post-RFE are pretty similar.

How do you actually "know" NVC has received the petition. I received a letter in the mail from them stating they have received it, and that within one week it would be mailed to the proper embassy. I was under the belief that this meant NVC had it and that it would soon be travelling to Manila. Is this belief incorrect?

I just got thru the NVC operator a few minutes ago & was told that they have our case already and will be sent to the Manila embassy in 2 to 4 weeks, which I hoping against hope that it would be lesser time than that. However when I asked when the NVC received it, the operator said, "I don't have that information." Well, i just shut up coz I don't want to pissed him off, hehe! So I'll just put today's date as "NVC received it"

Hopefully yours is there already too, try to call them back.

okay, so i called again just now. this girl said that they have my case and it was received on August 11, so i don't know what the other girl was on telling me that my case wasn't in yet. maybe she typed the receipt number in wrong, who knows. but yay, it's at NVC and they gave me the usual 2-4 weeks delivery time to the consulate.

oh, and people, make sure you do speak to an operator... the automated system will tell you that your case has not been received when in fact it may already have been received.

hopefully we can start receiving our packets by the beginning of September!

Ok, I just got my mails & one is from the NVC dated August 10th. It says it will send our case to Manila within one week & assigned us with a Manila case number. So Im thinking if the letter is dated & postmarked Aug 10th, then they probably received our files before that? Hmmm. Whatever, Im happy it's moving!!!

Goodluck & check your mail if u haven't done so.
