Processing time at NVC for photos

So I sent in all the civil documents and NVC received them on June 23rd. They said it will take them 6-8 weeks to process them. Today, August 10, I received an email from NVC saying they need two photographs of the beneficiary.

I wanted to ask if I could send the same photographs I sent in to INS when I first filed the petition I-130. I quickly called NVC, the person I spoke with said, “Yes I can send the same picture again”. He also said it will take 2 weeks to get the picture in the system from the time they receive it. And it will take 6-8 weeks to process it.

I called again and the guy said it will take 6-8 weeks to process.

I am still confused. I don’t want to get another email after 2 months saying I need to send a current photograph of the beneficiary.

Also, I am really upset at the processing time.

Any of you in the same boat? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I used the same pictures for my I-130 Petition and to send to the National Visa Center and it was fine. We had our interview with no problems.

one of my friends did the same thing. I just wanna be on the safe side. So I am kind of scared of sending the same pictures.

Yes I am getting the new ones tomorrow and will over night them. The real issue is how long it will take NVC to process them now?

I don't think anyone can tell you the exact processing time but I made it through NVC in 3 weeks but I didn't have a RFE. If I took a good guess I'd say a couple weeks.

i don't think a person's apperance can change that much in only 6 months anyway.

it prolly won't take that long to process either.

just send it quickly so you can keep on waiting. haha

I think if your case has some problem and then you send the documents to fix it , NVC will take longer time more like 6-8 weeks, Not plus with case transfer from NVC to your consulate it will take a month and half till you interview, It happened to my case once while I sent DS 230 back to NVC the early of July, My husband called to ask their said the case will process like 6-8 weeks
