Why didn't I get the I-797C of my provisional working permit?

Hi,

I am adjusting my status after getting married through a K1 visa and I just got the Notice of Action ( I-797C) of my I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status) and my I-131 (Application for travel document) but I didn't get the notice of action of my provisional working permit and I did apply to all of this 3 documents at the same time. Does anybody know why has this happened?? what do you recommend?? should I call USCIS and ask?

Honestly I don't know. Did you sign up for updates via text and email? If so you would have received an email/text with the case numbers. If you DID get that so you hae case numbers then I wouldn't worry too much (though it's annoying), but if you haven't received ANYTHING about the EAD, then I would call and ask then whether it was received and why you didn't get a letter. You can always ask to speak to an Immigration Officer if the person on the 1800 number isn't giving you what you need. If they're being difficult about transferring you, tell them they HAVE to transfer you if you request it, it's in their rules. If that doesn't work, you could make an infopass appointment to find out what's going on.

Thank you very much! I did sigh up for email and text updates and I only got the case numbers for my advance parole and the green card (not the EDA) I actually called yesterday and they told me that every form takes different times to process, I will call today and aske them if they did get EDA. let's see if I am lucky.

For anybody that may be in the same situation I was:

USCIS didn't send me the notice of action of my provisional working permit because they lost it! of course they don't tell you this, they just tell you after 60 minutes on the phone and being transfered several times that they never received it, really strange since they did receive all the other documentation that was sent in the same package, meaning they've lost it and they don't really care. So be quick and send the request ASAP, don't waste your time arguing with them, is completely worthless, and be VERY patient with anything you are processing with USCIS.
