.. until you poked at the consulate via email to get your interview date? I faxed my Packet #3 yesterday so I figured I'd probably email on Friday... or is that too soon? I'm sure Vancouver has 74328737 email pests and I don't want to add to the numbers lol.

Wish I had an answer, but I'm curious about the same question in regards to my CR-1. I just got my case completed at NVC and to the best of my knowledge know that I'm waiting for them to contact me with an interview date (btw, will that be via email? phone? mail?), but since I also know Montreal is really slow right now I won't be able to stop myself from calling every week to see if they've received it.

There is pretty much no point to contacting MTL.

It took just over a month for us to get our interview date. Patience is the key.

Follow along with other VJ users who have approx the same time line as you... that will be a better indicator.

I am not sure about vancouver but for montreal there is no point in contacting them or NVC for at least a few months.As of now, interviews are not being scheduled yet, there are a few people including myself that are going and already over 3 months waiting for word from NVC about our interviews. If you did electronic processing you will get an email with the interview date etc, im not sure about normal processing, that might be mail.

dont even bother contacting montreal. i sent 3 emails one about a lost packet 3 and never got a reply. all you can do is keep calling DOS to find out if they got your packet and if it was logged, then play the waiting game for the interview date.

After I faxed my packet 3 I sent Vancouver an e-mail saying "I faxed my packet, can you confirm that you received it?" They confirmed and gave me the interview date right then

When it comes to Montreal they pretty much scan their emails to what they consider relevant. General questions are not answered as far as I am aware. We sent an email with our case number in the subject line requesting expedite and they replied the next day and continued correspondence for a little while but now we haven't hear from them in two weeks. I had also sent an email in early July inquiring if they received me I-129F from NVC and a month later I received a response from Washington stating Montreal has no record of my case... but at this point I had already mailed in my P3 AND been corresponding with them by email. Sooooo... have fun figuring that out. I also know we can't compare Vancouver to Montreal. They are run completely differently and anyone applying through Vancity for K1 are lucky sons of a gun.

I always assumed they send you your interview date by email, is this correct? I don't think I actually checked to make sure haha. I figured with my harassing phone calls I'd find out that way.

We waited about 5 months to poke Montreal. Then a couple days later about 15 of us got interview dates.

Well, after hearing all this MTL junk, I am thrilled to death that I am Vancouver. MTL did respond to my email right away when the NVC sent us to MTL instead of Van. I thought for sure my brain was going to melt clean out of my head over it but they were prompt and timely!

not to be a downer - but I see you've filled in the month as August for your interview - that might be a little too ambitious Yes, Vancouver is faster them Montreal...but maybe not that fast.

Maybe look at recent Vancouver K-1's - that should give you an idea.

The people at Woking Medical, and the consulate are very nice too. They have a way of making you feel relaxed. I had a woman doctor, but I think there might be a male one too. The one I had was very sweet.

I've heard that they are all very nice! I am a little on edge and travelling with a 6yr old doesn't make it easier lol. I'm very grateful that they were able to get us in so fast and that we have had nothing but great response times and experiences with VAN so far.
