Umm... so we're basically TV soul mates

I also started getting into America's got Talent, although I don't think it's as good as the British version.

I also enjoy Top Gear. It's my husband's favorite show and he's sucked me in.

I don't watch a lot of TV but lately I've become enamoured of The Ghost Whisperer.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Hi Everyone,

A spin-off of the reading thread...I like that......

Lol....I haven't been watching too much tv lately.....

Though I admit I have one 'guilty television-watching pleasure'....

It all started out last year....When I was in labour with Baby A.....

Lol..In a lot of pain at the hospital and with a lot of time to go through labour.....

My husband turned on the TV, thinking it would help....

So guess what was on at the hospital....(lol..and who can say no to free tv either)....

"Degrassi"....(no joke....and it was a marathon too)....

So I watched an episode or two before we turned the tv off...

And then had the baby delivered a few hours later....

Needless to say, a year later...I'm still hooked onto the show..(and am still catching up with the re-runs)

Even though the plots and characters are not the best....

And those cheesy Toronto/Canadian references....

It reminds me of 'home' in some way.....

Maybe that's why I'm addicted to it too.....Hmmm.....

It's the Canadian-isms that get to me!

And lol..and to this day my husband teases me constantly about this....

(though I think may have gotten him addicted to the show too...yeah, we he watches with me now...)

It doesn't help either, that this year they have new episodes every day....Uggh....

There goes another addiction...

Between VJ and Degrassi.....I'm an addict.......

What are your 'mindless tv addictions'? What are you watching?

Also a fun thread! God, I'm so glad I found VJ!

My husband and I are pretty well obsessed with Mad Men. This is the first year we are actually watching it as it airs. We got hooked kind of late and have been watching the DVDs of it up until this year. Other than that... I like Psych and in the fall I watch Parenthood and How I Met Your Mother.

I have been reading a lot about Mad Men lately and caught my first episode the other night. I'm intrigued. I think it's time to search out the first few seasons on DVD.

I have a good, bad and ugly list... haha.

I've been watching Mad Men from the get-go, and it *still* has me enthralled. Other than that, I'm a fan of

30 Rock

The Office

All the Real Housewives series (that fits my "bad/ugly description up there)

Crime 360

The First 48 Hours

Biography channel when they have someone I like on there (yesterday's was Robert Johnson)

Chopped

America's Most Wanted... I can't help tuning in sometimes because I live here now :hehe:

Original Iron Chef

Futurama

Family Guy

Deadliest Catch!

I also like dorking out on the NASA channel

Other than that, I'm at a show, the art museum and/or the non profit place that I volunteer at!
