sachinky, I like you style! haha :) I love the food network! I also like Everyday Italian, Barefoot Contessa, Next food network Star, Bobby Flay's show (I forget the name... )... and basically most of the shows on there! I don't get the channel in Canada so I only watch it when visiting my fiance :) We both love it though and get great ideas for dinner!

I also like Law & Order: SVU, House, Criminal Minds... I don't watch much TV in Canada but when I'm in the US with my fiance, we watch TV sometimes in the evening :)

We don't watch much tv in the summer, but my favourite shows that I watch are Dexter, How I met your mother, Dancing with the stars. I loved Lost and 24, but they are no more.

I was also wondering when I was going to start this thread what people are also watching for MOVIES. What movies are you looking forward to, or what did you just see that you highly recommend? No spoilers!!

MOVIES:

I recommend Inception!!! And also have heard good things about Despicable Me, but haven't seen it yet. I'm also curious to see The Expendables, as I just think it's hilarious who they've managed to get together in that movie. lol

TV:

I don't watch a lot of TV, but right now am netflixing Dexter and Bones, and love them both. I was also a HUGE Lost fan, and I like Glee and The Vampire Diaries. When I remember when they're on I'll watch Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs. :)

During the summer, the only shows hubby and I have been watching are True Blood, Whale Wars and My First Place. We occasionally record syndicated episodes of Cold Case and The Office to watch when nothing else is on.

When the fall hits... oh boy. Dexter (me only, Ben has no interest in it), The Vampire Diaries, The Office, V, and Survivor (Ben got me into that a couple of seasons ago). There seem to be a lot of new shows starting too, so it'll be a pick and choose of which to start.

For movies...

Saw Inception. Liked it. Very good movie, don't go to see it if you have a migraine.

Saw The Other Guys. Meh.. I could've waited for DVD for that one. Ben loved it.

My favourite movie of the summer so far was The A-Team. I just loved it. It was everything I thought it would be, funny and action-packed. Not to mention, I've attained a soft spot for that hunk Bradley Cooper, heh.

Looking forward to seeing The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

I don't watch that many new shows on TV except for Supernatural (such a guilty pleasure!), so when I crave an episode of something I watch old episodes of Friends, Arrested Development, the first two seasons of Heroes, Sex and the City, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. I know it's weird to be an adult watching a cartoon, but when the M. Night movie of the series flopped after it was expected to be amazing, my husband and I decided to watch through the original animated series and it was really great!

i dont really watch tv that much, right now all i watch is true blood, other than that hubby and i like supernatural and dexter. i gave up on 24 2 seasons back..i just could not get into it anymore. usually we just buy certain series on dvd like csi ncis and watch them when we want with no rush. true blood..took me til the 3rd season to get into it, and even now, it's just an excuse to go visit the sister in law :)

Haha that happened to my best friend, too, but after the first season the plot changes pretty dramatically and almost every episode has the same kind of creature (trying not to give away spoilers, lol). Seeing the same thing every week makes it not so scary any more.
