It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

How did this software get installed on their phones??

Does it require physical access to the phone?

If so then its there own fault for leaving the phone out where anyone can get to it.

Why did they not take it to their local phone store to have the OS replaced/upgraded??

This is usually a free option. Doing this could have overwritten the spyware that was installed.
